After looking at our data for online access over the last few months, we have seen a trend of Klinik (online access) being switched off, on average, at 1:30pm due to reaching capacity.
To make it clearer for our patients, we are adjusting our opening times of the online system from 8:00am – 1:30pm, Monday to Friday, as of Monday 02 October 2023.
The Klinik system does not allow us to keep routine requests accessible when we have reached capacity. We encourage you, our patients, to use Klinik (online access) rather than telephoning the practice, to allow our staff to process the thousands of requests we receive.
There will still be times when we reach capacity earlier than the switch off time of 1:30pm, after this time if your need is clinically urgent, please telephone the practice, if your need is more routine please wait until the following day to complete a Klinik request.
If you have submitted a Klinik request, this will be triaged by our duty clinician, and you will be contacted either by phone or text to advise the outcome of your request. Clinically urgent need is prioritised, and you may receive a telephone consultation or be asked to attend the practice on the day of your submission.
For more clinically routine issues, you may need to wait for several weeks for an appointment, or you may be signposted to other services we have available such as a Physiotherapist or Mental Health Practitioner.
