Leatside Health Centre is proud to be a recognised training practice for doctors who are training to become General Practitioners (GPs).
We regularly host GP Registrars — fully qualified doctors who have already gained several years of hospital experience. They join our team for up to 12 months to develop their skills in General Practice, supported and supervised by our experienced GPs.
During their time with us, GP Registrars may:
Work alongside other clinicians in joint appointments
Hold their own surgeries once they are ready and confident to do so
As part of their development, some consultations may be recorded on video for training and assessment purposes. If this applies to your appointment:
You will be fully informed in advance
Your consultation will only be recorded with your signed consent
You are free to decline without it affecting your care in any way
Supporting the next generation of GPs is a key part of our commitment to high-quality, future-focused care. If you have any questions about our training programme, please feel free to ask a member of the team.
