Important - NOTICE OF PRACTICE CLOSURE - Please be advised that our practice will be closed for a half-day on Thursday, 18th December from 13:00 onwards for staff training. This closure has been authorised by the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board (ICB). We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.
At Leatside Health Centre, we want you to feel comfortable and supported during your appointments. You have the right to request a chaperone at any time.
What is a chaperone?
A chaperone is a trained member of our staff who can accompany you during your consultation or examination. They are there to provide support, ensure your comfort, and help maintain a safe and respectful environment for both patients and clinicians.
Your Right to a Chaperone
You can ask for a chaperone for any type of consultation or examination, regardless of your age or gender. This may be especially helpful during intimate or sensitive examinations, but it is always your choice.
Our Staff and Training
All our staff who act as chaperones receive annual training to ensure they understand their role, maintain confidentiality, and provide appropriate support throughout your appointment.
How to Request a Chaperone
Please let the receptionist know when you book your appointment or check in on the day if you would like a chaperone to be present.
